1. Our Commitment
We stand behind our work. Premier Motor Works Inc. has served Brooklyn since 2024, and our reputation depends on repairs that last. This policy explains what is covered, for how long, and how to make a claim.
2. Labor Warranty
Mechanical repair labor performed by our technicians is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of service. If a repair we performed fails within that period due to our workmanship, we will correct it at no charge for labor.
3. Parts Warranty
Parts are covered by the warranty offered by the part manufacturer or supplier. Coverage periods vary by part and by manufacturer. We will tell you the applicable warranty on any part before installing it, and we will assist you in processing a manufacturer warranty claim if a covered part fails.
Customer-supplied parts are not warranted by us. If you provide your own part and it fails, labor to remove and reinstall a replacement is billable.
4. Collision and Body Work
Body work and refinishing performed by us is warranted against defects in workmanship — including paint peeling, cracking, or delamination caused by our application — for 12 months from the date of service.
This warranty does not cover damage from subsequent collisions, road debris, chemical or environmental fallout, improper washing, or normal wear. Paint color match is performed to industry standard; slight variation from factory finish on adjacent panels can occur on aged vehicles and is not considered a defect.
5. What Is Not Covered
- Normal wear and tear, including brake pads, wiper blades, tires, and filters consumed in ordinary use
- Damage caused by accident, abuse, racing, off-road use, or neglect
- Damage resulting from failure to perform recommended maintenance
- Failures caused by a separate, unrelated component we did not service
- Repairs performed elsewhere, or our repairs subsequently modified by another shop
- Customer-supplied parts
- Work you declined when we recommended it, and any consequential failure arising from that declined work
- Rental vehicles, towing, lost wages, loss of use, or other incidental costs
6. How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact us by phone at +1 718-568-5678 as soon as you notice the problem. Continuing to drive a failing vehicle can worsen the damage and may void coverage.
- Bring the vehicle to our shop along with your original invoice or repair order.
- We will inspect the vehicle to determine whether the issue falls within warranty coverage.
- If covered, we will schedule and perform the correction at no charge for the covered portion.
Warranty repairs must be performed at our facility unless we authorize outside work in advance and in writing. Work performed elsewhere without our prior authorization is not reimbursable.
7. Used Vehicle Sales
Warranty coverage on a pre-owned vehicle is set out in the written sales documents you receive at the time of purchase. Depending on the vehicle’s price and mileage, a sale may be covered by the New York State Used Car Lemon Law, which establishes minimum statutory warranty protections. Where that law applies, the required disclosures and coverage will be provided to you in writing at the time of sale.
Any vehicle sold “as is” where permitted by law will be clearly identified as such in the sales documents before you sign.
8. Deposits and Cancellations
Service deposits. If a deposit is required to order special parts, it is refundable until the parts are ordered. Once parts are ordered, the deposit may be applied to restocking fees charged by the supplier.
Vehicle deposits. Deposits placed to hold a pre-owned vehicle are governed by the written deposit agreement provided at the time. Refund terms will be stated in that agreement before you pay.
9. Refunds
Because automotive repair is a service performed on your specific vehicle, completed labor is generally not refundable. Our remedy for a defective repair is correction of the work under the warranty terms above.
Where we have billed in error, or charged for work that was not performed, we will promptly refund the difference. Unused parts returned in original condition may be refunded less any supplier restocking fee.
If you believe you have been billed incorrectly, contact us within 30 days of the invoice date so we can review it with you.
10. Transferability
Warranty coverage applies to the vehicle owner at the time of service and is not transferable to a subsequent owner unless required by law.
